How to choose and store Strawberry in general?
- Store whole watermelons in without washing or removing the stems. Arrange them on a paper towel-lined tray, cover with plastic wrap and then refrigerate. Before consuming wash the strawberries under cool water and then remove stems.
- Choose strawberries that are firm, plump, unblemished, free of mold, shiny, deep red color and bright green caps attached.

How to choose and store Cucumber in general?
- Store cucumber should be stored at room temperature and keep them separately from bananas, tomatoes, and melons, which are all high ethylene producers which cucumber will be sensitive to it.
- Choose cucumber that are bright, even color of skin without dullness or sweating, firm and does not bend. Smaller cucumbers are crisper and have finer seeds.

Japanese Crabstick and Corn Salad Recipe


Ingredients
6 Crab Stick
2 Japanese Cucumber
4 tablespoons whole Kernel Corn
2 tablespoon of Tobiko or Ebiko
Japanese Mayonnaise

Step 1 Steam Crab Sticks and shred it into strips.
Step 2 Steam and cool whole Kernel Corn.
Step 3 Remove seeds of Japanese Cucumber, shred and soak it into cold water for 2 mins.
Step 4 Drain Japanese Cucumber and Corn.
Step 5 Place ingredients in individual serving bowl. First Japanese Cucumber. Second Crabsticks, Third Corn then top it with Tobiko/Ebiko.
Step 6 Drizzle Japanese Mayonnaise and serve.


This is a very good Japanese Meal Side dish.

Sweet & Sour Fish (Yellowtail Fusilier)


Deep Fried Yellowtail Fusilier Fish Ingredients
500g of Yellowtail Fusilier Fish
2 cups of Cooking Oil

Wash and pat dry and score the Yellowtail Fusilier Fish. Heat up Cooking Oil in pan, it's hot enough when you put in your chopstick and it bubbles. Put in the fish and fry until both sides crisp up and turn golden brown. Drain on a few layers of kitchen towel and place it on a serving dish.

Sweet & Sour Sauce Ingredients
1/2 cup of Halfed Cherry Tomatoes
1/2 cup of cubed Cucumber
1/2 cup of Tomato Sauce
1 tablespoon of Thai Chilli Sauce
1 teaspoon of Corn Flour mixed with 3 tablespoon of Filtered Water
1 teaspoon of Sugar

Throw in the Cherry Tomatoes and stir fry it till the skin wrinkle up slightly. Add in the Tomato Sauce, Thai Chilli Sauce, Sugar, and Cucumber. When the sides start bubbling, pour in the Mixed Corn Flour with Water. Simmer down until the thickness is sauce like. Pour over the Deep Fried Yellowtail Fusilier Fish.

It's ready to be serve!

Side Dish Exploration ::: Korean Sweet Anchovies with Cucumber

My favorite Korean side dish that I always ask for refill… there are few more… wait for me to explore & I’ll definitely share with all of you… for now is SWEET ANCHOVIES with CUCUMBERS

*Korean Appetizer - Sweet Ikan Bilis with Cucumber

Ingredients needed:::
1 tablespoon of Cooking Oil (Halal style) / 1 teaspoon of Lard (Non-Halal style)
Hand Full of Baby Anchovies
Half Hand Full of diced Japanese Cucumber
1 teaspoon of Fine Sugar

Steps~~~

Turn up the heat to Medium to warm up the pan and add in the Cooking Oil/Lard.
Throw in the Baby Anchovies to cook till lightly golden then add in the diced Japanese Cucumber & Fine Sugar. Stir till all sugar melt which will be just in time when the Baby Anchovies are golden and the cucumber as slightly cooked, I love my cucumber crispy!
