I have been baking these cookies since I was in secondary school. It is simple and always appreciated and welcome.
Try baking this!
Ingredients:::
230g Butter
300g Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
5g of fine table salt
2 eggs
380g All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon of Baking Soda
300g Chocolate Bar, Chunked up
Method
1. Sift Flour & Baking Soda to loosen up to avoid clumps.
2. Cream Butter, Brown Sugar, Eggs, Salt, and Vanilla Essence until light and pale.
3. Stir in sifted Flour mixture.
4. Add in the Chocolate Chunks. And mix well to combine as evenly as possible.
5. Grease baking trays lightly with melted butter, Preheat oven to 180 °C.
6. Roll teaspoonfuls of mixture into sized ball; arrange them on trays and slightly pressing down. Make sure it is all well spaced out as the cookie will grow twice the size. Do not want them to stick together.
7. Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20mins or until cooked and golden brown. This depends on your oven! Be sure to get a fixed timing from the 1st batch and use it for the rest.
8. Leave cookies to cool slightly on the trays then lift them out onto wire racks to cool completely before packing them up into airtight bags or containers.
All fingers all digging into the cookie jar.
***Warning***
Only twice repeating the same recipe in a same toaster back in SS2 House, and failed terribly. Do not bake this in a toaster!
